We are
delighted that you are planning to be married and that St. Peter's
Parish is part of your plans. Wedding details and arrangements are
certainly necessary and important, but we hope that you never lose sight
of the fact that marriage is primarily a sacrament --a sacred sign of
your love for each other in Christ. Christ abundantly blesses your love
and in this sacrament enriches and strengthens you so that you may
assume the duties of marriage in mutual and lasting fidelity.
An appointment should be made with the priest or deacon whom you
have chosen to perform the wedding ceremony well in advance of your
proposed wedding date (ay least six months in advance). At this time
the necessary forms will be filled out, the date and time of the wedding
and the rehearsal will be scheduled, and any other details will be
arranged. The availability of St. Peter's Church must be verified and
reserved for your rehearsal and wedding date and time.
Please accept our best wishes and prayers for a happy married
life...
